Oracle Java Extension for Visual Studio Code Version 26.0.0 Is Now Available

Oracle Java Platform Extension for Visual Studio Code version 26.0.0 is now live on Visual Studio Code Marketplace  and OpenVSX Registry.

Java Visual Studio Plugin 26.0.0 is based on Apache NetBeans 29 and includes the following enhancements:

• Support for VS Code variables in selected extension settings

• Run Configuration settings

• Additional settings, including JDK Home and Notebook options

• Formatter settings that can now be configured within the VS Code extension

• A configurable settings.xml path for Maven projects

This release also includes the following fixes:

• Updated JDK Downloader interface labels

• Fixed synchronization of Run Configurations between settings.json and the UI panel
