JavaOne: A Lifetime of Java Learning in Three Days
Sharat Chander on December 24, 20242025 will mark 30 years of Java. While almost 11,000 days have passed since Java’s “Hello World,” Java continues to offer innovation that powers applications across the globe. At JavaOne 2025, you can experience ongoing Java modernization across a range of learning tracks through content delivered by some of the most recognized luminaries at Oracle and the Java community.
JavaOne is first and foremost a learning and community-focused conference. Developers come from around the world to advance their Java expertise, addressing areas such as application performance and manageability, artificial intelligence, and cloud productivity, as well as build, grow, and nurture relationships in the Java ecosystem. And, let’s be honest, maybe a few people come to JavaOne to snap a selfie with Duke, the official Java mascot. Duke is pretty adorable, after all.
A key highlight at JavaOne this year will be the official launch of Java 24. When you join us at JavaOne 2025, you’ll have a chance to be among the first people in the world to learn about all the new features in Java 24 that can accelerate your application development.
Of course, three days of expert-led learning can get intense, so you’ll find plenty of chances to unwind at JavaOne too, from relaxed networking lounges to our post-event Attendee Party. Building vibrant Java applications is important, but so is building community. By connecting together, sharing what we’ve learned, and enjoying the journey along the way, Java will continue to be a driving force for future generations of developers.
If you really love Java, JavaOne 2025 truly is the (community) learning opportunity of a lifetime. My joy for Java continues to be marrow-deep. Come join me for this unique experience… and celebration!
